Visit the small sami village Maze

This is a unique experience with a Sami family from Maze, a small sami village by the famous Maze-Alta river 70 km from Alta city. You will enjoy the beautiful nature while driving Worlds largest Sami traditional riverboat to the famous Sautso canyon. In Sautso you will get a guided tour on the dam and inside the mountain.

Later, the local Sami reindeer herders will serve you traditional Sami food with reindeer meat. While you are enjoying the snacks and hot meal around the fire, the Sami guides will tell you more about their lifestyle and history of the old days and new days.

You will hear about the history of the Sautso canyon and its impact on the Sami people. You will also hear the joik (sami way to sing)
