Unique stay at a reindeer herd with Reindeer herders
Sami Reindeer herders still practice reindeer herding in a traditional way, but modernized.
We want to welcome you to us in Kautokeino for a stay at our reindeer herd in Kautokeino community,
50 km away from the village.
Sami reindeer herders follow the reindeer herding year through the eight seasons we have in a year, and in winter time we herd the herd every day.
You will have the opportunity to live in our small cabine with comfortable beds, warm fireplace in the middle of nowhere..
The activities consist of, among other things, reindeer herding, migrating, gathering the herd and other work.
And other activities such as harvesting what nature has to harvest in each season, ice fishing or fishing with a pole in the summer.
The activities are seasonal and depends on when you visit us.
